PrEP – Initiation of Prophylaxis

NOTE! Before you purchase a consultation to start PrEP, make sure you have all the required tests (described below). As of April 2025, PrEP medications are again available on the Polish market.

When you purchase a consultation, you receive:

  • An email with detailed information on PrEP and doxyPEP prophylaxis.
  • The doctor will interpret your test results and, if there are no contraindications, will issue medical authorization for 1 pack of PrEP (patients continuing PrEP receive authorization for 3–6 packs) and, upon request, also for DoxyPEP. You will receive an electronic code that allows you to purchase these medications at selected pharmacies in major cities in Poland, along with a list of pharmacy addresses.
  • Possibility to ask questions to the doctor in text form, or on request, via a telephone consultation.
STEP 1 - PERFORM TESTS IN ANY LABORATORY. TESTS SHOULD BE DONE IN THE MORNING, ON AN EMPTY STOMACH, AT LEAST 3 WEEKS AFTER THE LAST RISKY CONTACT.
Please note that we only accept fresh test results (maximum 2 weeks old)
  • HIV COMBO,
  • General Urine Test,
  • Creatinine Level in Blood,
  • Blood Morphology,
  • HBS Antigen,
  • Liver Function Tests.
You don't need a referral for the test, but with a referral from us, which you can order here,
  • you'll pay much less
  • you'll be sure that the right tests will be performed
  • we'll have automatic insight into the results (you won't have to attach them via the prepomat.pl website or send them by email).

ATTENTION:

If you're having tests without a referral from us, remember that we only accept:

  • Fresh test results (max. two weeks).
  • Results by name, containing:
    • name and address of the laboratory,
    • name and surname of the laboratory diagnostician
    • laboratory diagnostician's license number.

 

We do not accept printouts from the Medicover system, because they do not constitute medical documentation. However, Medicover will provide a full result at the patient's request.
